The Guildford Dragon

Posted on November 27, 2019February 14, 2021
The Guildford Dragon is the town’s online newspaper and we are lucky to have it. It has been reporting on local issues since 2012. Founded by David Rose, former editor of the Surrey Advertiser and Martin Giles a former reporter it is a wonderful chronicle of modern history, a valuable source of local history and, of course, a vital means of raising awareness of issues affecting the town. Both founders are respected local historians. David Rose has written more books on the town than anyone else in the town’s history. Martin is an expert on the Zepplin raid at St Catherines during World War I, in addition to having run local history projects and written books.

In another article I have listed 130 articles on local history published in The Guildford Dragon. (There were too many to list them all but I will add to the list).

Click here for a longer article on the background to The Guildford Dragon.
